Account Coordinator – Advertising Agency

Our client, a leading advertising agency in Overland Park, KS, is seeking a bright, motivated Account Coordinator to join their team.

We are seeking candidates with up to 2 years of experience or recent graduates who have demonstrated strong internship experience and a history of involvement in college organizations. If you’re eager to continue or start your career in a collaborative and creative agency environment, we’d love to meet you!

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, supporting client projects and learning the fundamentals of agency operations. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates local to the Kansas City area, with 0–2 years of experience, who are ready to build on their work, academic, and internship achievements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support account teams in the day-to-day management of client projects and communications
  • Assist in gathering, organizing, and preparing materials for client meetings and presentations
  • Help track project timelines, deliverables, and status updates to ensure deadlines are met
  • Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate the smooth execution of marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Participate in the development of creative briefs and project documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and files for assigned accounts
  • Communicate professionally with clients, agency colleagues, and external partners as needed
  • Stay informed about client brands, products, and industry trends to contribute to team discussions
  • Support the agency’s compliance with internal processes and procedures

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience, including internships in marketing or advertising agencies
  • Demonstrated involvement in college organizations, leadership roles, or campus activities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a team-oriented culture
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to take on new challenges
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred

  • Familiarity with agency workflow and project management tools (from internships or coursework)
  • Experience assisting with client communications, presentations, or campaign coordination
