News fit to print!
It’s been an active spring at LandaJob! While we’ve been working on an upswing in hiring (very good news!), we’ve also made time, as always, to stay involved in our local professional organizations.
Recently, Kathryn helped organize, promote, and speak at the KC IABC Student Career Night, held April 2 at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation. It was attended by students from eight area colleges and universities, and it gave Kathryn an opportunity to give her favorite presentation, “Stay Out of the Basement: How to Get a Job and Avoid Moving Home to Your Parents’ House.” They loved it!
In part, because of her efforts with the Student Career Night, Kathryn was just awarded the KC IABC chapter’s Volunteer of the Month award for May 2015. Great job, Kathryn!
Over on the advertising side, Rebecca has been hard at work on the organizing committee for AAF-KC’s second annual Gas Can Creative Conference, which is being held on Friday, June 26th at Sporting Park. We have a fantastic lineup of speakers to present on creativity, including our own Kathryn Lorenzen, who will be speaking on “How Music Guides the Muse”, in addition to three incredible creative breakout sessions you can attend. Register now, as this event will sell out!
