Project Coordinator

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join the team of our manufacturing client located in Lenexa, KS.
This person will be responsible for coordinating and executing various projects such as online events, tradeshows, advertising, website updates, editorial calendars, and more. They'll also need to develop and update sales, marketing, and corporate materials. The ideal candidate should have experience with WordPress, hands-on experience with content management, and be organized, adaptable, and able to handle multiple tasks. This role is on-site Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a communications calendar to schedule and organize marketing activities and announcements.
  • Plan and schedule campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities with various teams to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Plan and organize in-person and online events for external stakeholders. Coordinate logistics, including venue booking, catering and technical requirements.
  • Work with trainers and subject matter experts to ensure smooth presentation and event execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary resources and information for project success.

Required:
  • 2+ years of related experience in Production Graphic Design (i.e. technical catalogs and product bulletins.)
  • Print buying and working with outside vendors experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to establish plans and track deadlines for various projects.
  • Should be self-motivated while working independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be very skilled in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Proven experience working with WordPress including hands- on experience with content management,
  • Knowledgeable with PC and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) products.
  • Coordinate and schedule daily jobs and large projects to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with color correction, prepress production, scanning, and photography required.
  • Position requires strong proofing and editing skills.
  • Excellent written, communication and customer service skills.

We love having you as a long-time client and Mackenzie is a valued contractor and because of that, we can raise Mackenzie's pay by $.60 per hour which will put her at $29.05, and your bill rate by $1.00 which will put your bill rate at $36.00. So you are aware, this markup is very much below market and we will need to re-evaluate the numbers after tax season.

You are so kind to offer to pre-pay, however, our accounting department has asked that clients pay the amount that is invoiced each time and not pre-pay.

Please let me know if we have the green light on the rate as outlined above and we will get Mackenzie's paperwork started on this end.

Also, I know I'm billed a very lovely round dollar figure, even though that means Mackenzie gets a non-round hourly figure. May I please increase my total by one dollar? I realize that means she only gets about 60-75 cents an hour extra. Please let me know if that's doable.

One more thing: I get absolutely crazy-busy during tax season, and I'm more than happy to pre-pay as much of the ~$$4,000-5,000 I'm expecting to pay Mackenzie in the next three months. Whatever works for you.
